TALK TO GOD

I have seen no proof whatsoever of the existence of god or any
other deity, or even of anything remotely supernatural.

I have heard a great many people try to say otherwise, in fitful
blatherings, but they have offered no proof beyond "you must
make the leap, otherwise your faith is worth nothing."

that is not proof. that is syllogism.

I have read much about the bible and its inherent flaws: it
is not one book, but many, re-written over many centuries by people
who weren't even there at the time about which they were writing.

I think it's about as likely that there is a god as it is likely
there is an easter bunny, tall and furry and carrying a basket
of giant candy eggs.

but because there is no proof that god exists, however, does not
mean he (or some variant) does not, indeed exist. but anyone
who cannot acknowledge that there is room for much uncertainty
should not be trusted with sharp objects or large machinery,
because their sanity is in doubt. only the insane believe in
the irrational, fully and with no doubt. the sane have doubts,
many of them. they might choose to believe, anyway, and that's
just fine by me.
